Peter Brida

Peter Brida obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Telecommunications from University of Žilina, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Slovakia, in 2002 and 2006, respectively. He is full professor from 2017. Since November 2016, he has been holding the position of Vice-dean for Development and International Co-operation at Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, University of Zilina. His research interests include wireless positioning in mobile radio networks, satellite navigation systems, location-based services, internet of things, cellular networks, and intelligent transport systems. He is the author or co-author of more than 60 scientific papers published in scientific journals and presented at international conferences. He has been a guest editor and member of Technical Program Committees for a lot of journals and conferences such as IPIN (Indoor Positioning and Indoor Navigation), ACIIDS (Asian Conference on Intelligent Information and Database Systems), ICCCI (International Conference on Computational Collective Intelligence), etc. In the past, he was chairman of several invited and special sessions at various conferences. He was guest editor of several special issues in high-impact journals, e. g. sensors (MDPI), Mobile Information Systems (Hindawi) etc.
