Philip Brown

Philip N. Brown (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech, Atlanta, GA, USA, in 2007, the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Boulder, CO, USA, in 2015, under the supervision of Jason R. Marden, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara, CA, USA, under the supervision of Jason R. Marden. After 2007, he spent several years designing control systems and process technology for the biodiesel industry. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science, University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, CO, USA. He is interested in the interactions between engineered and social systems. Dr. Brown was a recipient of the University of Colorado Chancellor’s Fellowship from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He was a finalist for the Best Student Paper Award from the 2016 and 2017 IEEE Conferences on Decision and Control, the 2018 CCDC Best Ph.D. Thesis Award from UCSB, and the AFOSR Young Investigator Award.
