HU Qingyang 胡清扬 received his Ph.D. degree at George Mason University in 2014. After two postdocs at Carnegie Institution of Washington and Stanford University, he worked as a staff scientist at the HPSTAR, China. He is specialized in the field of high-pressure mineral physics, mineral chemistry, particularly in studying new mineralogy under lower mantle conditions.
