个人简介
Randolf Mock received the university education in mathematics, physics, and chemistry from the University of Cologne, and the master’s and Ph.D. degrees in physics in 1987. He is currently with Corporate Technology, Siemens AG. For more than 25 years, he has been active in the field of piezoelectric sensors and actuators mainly for automotive applications among which are the Siemens knock sensor as well as the groundbreaking and award-winning piezoelectric fuel injection technology. Meanwhile, he has widened his research and development area to the mechatronic design of actuator systems with virtual self-sensing functions, with a focus on switching in smart grids and on robotics. As a Principal Engineer ranked scientist, he actively supports the long-term road mapping in the field of mechatronic actuators for Siemens and manages the Mechatronic Actuator Design Group, which has a long-term experience in international public research projects. He has authored about 200 patents and numerous scientific papers especially dealing with the theoretic background of nonlinear actuator function and dynamic friction phenomena in mechatronic systems.
