Roch Glitho is a Full Professor of Networking and Telecommunications at the Concordia Institute of Information Systems Engineering - CIISE where he holds the Ericsson / ENCQOR-5G Senior Industrial Research Chair in Cloud and Edge Computing for 5G and Beyond. In the past he has worked in industry for almost a quarter of a century and has held several senior technical positions at LM Ericsson in Sweden and Canada (e.g. expert, principal engineer, senior specialist). His industrial experience includes research, international standards setting, product management, project management, systems engineering and software/firmware design. In the past he has also served as IEEE Communications Society distinguished lecturer, Editor-In-Chief of IEEE Communications Magazine and Editor-In-Chief of IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorials. His research interests include cloud/edge/fog computing, Network Function Virtualization (NFV) /Software Defined Networks (SDN), Tactile Internet, Hardware acceleration, Neuromorphic computing and Internet of Things (IoT).
