个人简介
Ruth V. Sabariego is a professor within the EnergieVille group, Department of Electrical Engineering at the KU Leuven, Belgium, since October 2013. Before joining the KU Leuven, she was a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Liège (October 2000- September 2013). Her primary area of expertise involves applied mathematics and computational electromagnetics with a current focus on multi-physics and multiscale modelling. Her research is three-fold:
1. Development of new numerical methods: multiscale methods (homogenization techniques, surface impedance boundary conditions, thin-shell approaches), iterative sub-problem solution (perturbation methods), frequency and time domain couplings accounting for nonlinearity, ...;
2. Modelling of multi-physical problems and applications: high and low frequency electromagnetism (eddy-current non-destructive testing, electromagnetic shielding, interaction with biological systems, antennas, ...), solid mechanics (MEMS, electrical machines, actuators, ...), thermal problems (induction heating), acoustics (multiple scattering);
3. Design of a new scientific software suite based on open source codes (namely, the finite element code GetDP and the three-dimensional mesh generator Gmsh).
