Bio
+ Extensive knowledge and experience on video processing and encoding algorithm research and development. Familiar with various coding standards, such as H263, MPEG2, MPEG4, H264, SVC, HEVC, VP9 and AV1. Have worked on many encoder algorithms such as motion estimation, mode decision, bit rate control, deblocking, quality tuning, etc.
+ Extensive knowledge and hand-on experience on quality and performance improvement for hardware and software video encoder/transcoder pipelines. Familiar with major software interfaces for video transcoding, such as OpenMax, DXVA, ffmpeg and Intel MediaSDK. Familiar with video streaming protocols, such as HLS and DASH.
+ Technical leadership on leading multiple teams through entire product cycle, including planning, path finding, implementation, validation, etc,
+ Proficient with C/C++, Perl, Python, etc. Familiar with HW/SW co-design, multithreaded software architecture and threading framework. Familiar with GPU Compute language and architecture such as OpenCL.
