Research Interests
My work focuses on complex and biological flows investigated via simulation, with target systems ranging from molecular fluids to macromolecules and suspensions in aqueous and ionic environments. I am specially interested in biofluids such as blood, described from the red blood cells up to large scale physiological level.
I take advantage of simulations techniques, such as Molecular Dynamics, Monte Carlo, Lattice Boltzmann and Density Functional Theory. I actively develop new methods aimed at a unified multiscale modeling, ranging from Gibbs to Boltzmann descriptions applied to microscopic, mesoscopic or macroscopic scenarios.
