Saleh T. Mahmoud received the Ph.D. degree in physics from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, New Delhi, India, in 2001. He is a Full Professor with UAE University, Al Ain, United Arab Emirates, and has 20 years’ experience in laser–plasma interactions, materials characterization, and nanodevices fabrication. His publication record includes about 82 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and more than 46 presentations in international conferences. He is the Principal Investigator and a Co-Principal Investigator of 23 research projects and supervised several postgraduate students. His research interests include phase-change materials for memory devices, synthesis of organic–inorganic hybrid materials for gas sensing applications, and nonlinear instabilities in laser plasmas.
