Salvatore Petralia

Salvatore Petralia received the Ph.D. degree in chemistry from the University of Catania (UniCT), Catania, Italy, in 2003. From 2004 to 2020, he was a Technology Development Sect. Manager with STMicroelectronics, Catania, covering several research and development positions and leading multidisciplinary teams focused on the development of silicon LabonChip biosensors. In 2020, he joined UniCT, as s Researcher of Chemistry. The research activity over the years has covered multidisciplinary aspects of chemistry, nanostructured materials, biosensing, and bioMEMS silicon technology. In this field, he has coauthored 118 peer-reviewed scientific publications and one chapter of book and is a co-inventor of eight applications patents.
