个人简介
Professor Sanjay Garg is a highly accomplished pharmaceutical scientist with a wealth of experience and expertise in translational drug discovery, development, and delivery. He is a respected leader in the field and a true visionary when it comes to making a positive impact on patients' lives. He is committed to advancing the field through cutting-edge research and innovative solutions. Several of his patented formulations have reached clinical stages and market in the USA, India, New Zealand, UK, and Australia, e.g., Acidform (USA Patent 6706276) has been approved by US FDA as a non-hormonal contraceptive (Phexxi) and is marketed in the USA.
Research Focus
Prof. Garg's current research focuses on several critical areas of importance, including:
Anti-cancer Drug Targeting: His team is exploring both local and systemic delivery of drugs, with a focus on 3D printing for localized drug targeting.
Infections: In collaboration with several leading researchers, Prof. Garg is working on the development of novel antimicrobial compounds and formulations for both human and veterinary applications, resulting in successful patents and products for treating bacterial, protozoal, and fungal infections.
Veterinary Delivery Systems: His team is rapidly developing expertise in veterinary drug delivery, including innovative formulations for cattle, horses, pigs, cats, dogs, and fish.
Other Patient-centric Projects: Prof. Garg continues to work on projects that directly benefit patients, such as extemporaneous compounding and analysis of drugs in human milk.
