Associate Professor Dr Sheikh completed his BSc in Petroleum Chemistry at University PutraMalaysia and continued there to attain his Master in Science (Natural Product Chemistry) underthe supervision of Prof Dr Gwendoline Ee Cheng Lian, investigating compounds in GarciniaMangostana and Mesua Coneri plants and its antimicrobial studies. He was awarded his Ph.D innanochemistry (nanoclay chemistry) from Universiti Teknologi MARA Malaysia in 2005. Hisresearch involves synthesis, characterization, and controlled release formulation between LayeredDouble Hydroxide intercalated with herbicide, pesticide, and drugs. He was also received manyawards such as Best Researcher Award, Academic Leadership Award, Journal Article PublicationAward, Most Promising Academician Award and Most Prolific Writer Award in University AcademicAward UiTM Negeri Sembilan Branch. Up to date he has almost 100 publication including books,journals,chapter in book etc
