He has received NASI-SCOPUS Young Investigator Award (2009), Excellence in Teaching Award by Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (2012), Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) Bronze Medal (2016), Prof. P. C. P. Bhatt Faculty Research Award (2020), and Distinguished Faculty in Chemistry Award by Venus International Foundation (2022) in recent times. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) (2015) and an Editorial Board Member of the journal Scientific Reports published by Nature Publishing Group.
Professor Pandey's research interests are mainly in understanding interactions within complex fluidic systems. He has been involved in research projects on aqueous and non-aqueous micellar systems, microemulsions and self-assembling vesicles, supercritical carbon dioxide, ionic liquids, deep eutectic solvents, fluorous solvents, macromolecular solutions, to name a few, using optical spectroscopic tools among others.
