Simone Genovesi (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Laurea degree in telecommunication engineering and the Ph.D. degree in information engineering from the University of Pisa, Pisa, Italy, in 2003 and 2007, respectively. Since 2003, he has been collaborating with the Electromagnetic Communication Laboratory, The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State), University Park, PA, USA. From 2004 to 2006, he was a Research Associate with the ISTI Institute, National Research Council of Italy (ISTI-CNR), Pisa. From 2015 to 2017, he was a short-term Visiting Researcher with Grenoble Institute of Technology, Valence, France, and Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Tarragona, Spain, for several times. He is currently an Associate Professor with Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell’Informazione, University of Pisa. He is also a Coordinator of Additive Manufacturing, founded in the framework of the Departments of Excellence (“Dipartimenti di Eccellenza”), funded by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research. His current research interests include additive manufacturing, sensors, radio frequency identification (RFID) systems, and reconfigurable antennas. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation.
