Bio
Dr Sitong Chen is a Lecturer in Sustainability at the University of Auckland Business School. She is also a member of Circular Economy in Business (CEBUS) Beacon at University of Auckland Business School. She is also a member of Disciplinary Area Innovation and Strategy. She worked as a lecturer and senior tutor over the past few years across New Zealand Tertiary institutions such as Massey University, Unitec Institute of Technology and Whitireia and Wellington Institute of Technology.
Her current research interest is around Sustainability, Paradox Theory, Organisational Ambidexterity Theory, Sustainable Development Goals, Circular Economy, Responsible Innovation, Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility. One of her key research is about helping Chinese and New Zealand organisations in managing tensions arising from sustainability by applying paradoxical lens. She was rewarded the Winner of Outstanding Reviewer for Emerald Publishing 2022. She was also rewarded the Best Stream Reviewer in Sustainability and Social Issues in Management for the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management Conference (ANZAM), 2018. She was a recipient of a Massey University Dean’s Graduation Award. She has published in some top journals in sustainability such as Journal of Cleaner Production and Business Strategy and the Environment.
