Sofia Polymeni

Sofia Polymeni (Graduate Student Member, IEEE) was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in July 1994. She received the Diploma degree in informatics and telecommunications engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Western Macedonia, Kozani, Greece, in 2018, and the Master of Science (M.Sc.) Diploma degree with a specialty in Internet of Things: intelligent environments in next-generation networks from the Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering, University of the Aegean, Samos, Greece, in 2020, where she is currently pursuing the doctoral degree. Her thesis is entitled “Development of Smart Systems using Wireless Communications.” Her research interests focus both on smart systems and their communication protocols in the field of the Internet of Things and next-generation networks. Her skills include IoT implementations, knowledge of programming and communication protocols, and data analysis. She works as a Research Associate with the Information Technologies Institute, The Centre for Research and Technology Hellas, Thessaloniki.
