Bio
Syed Faraz Hasan (Senior Member, IEEE) received the bachelor’s degree (Hons.) in electrical engineering from the NED University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan, in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree from Ulster University, U.K., in 2011, on Vice Chancellor’s Research Scholarship. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), South Korea, from 2011 to 2012, and an Assistant Professor with Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea, from 2012 to 2014. He is currently a Senior Lecturer with the Department of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Massey University, New Zealand, where he leads the Telecommunication and Network Engineering research group. His research interests include device-to-device communication, mm-wave communication, and energy harvesting and localization. He is also the Distinguished Speaker of ACM, and the Impact Creator of IEEE.
