Tullio Scopigno is Associate Professor at the Physics Department of the Sapienza University, where he is the holder of the Structure of Matter and Photonics courses, and is responsible for the Femtoscopy laboratories, which he founded in 2007 thanks to funding from the European Research Council. He deals with the physics of disordered systems, thermodynamics of supercritical fluids, optical properties of low-dimensional systems, ultra-fast dynamics in condensed matter and biomolecules. He is affiliated with the Italian Institute of Technology as head of a biophotonics project and advanced imaging techniques within the Graphene Flagship, the largest research initiative in the European Union.
