Bio

Teruo Saito received the Diploma and Ph.D. degrees from Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan, in 1975 and 1982, respectively. Since 1981, he has been with the University of Tsukuba, Tsukuba, Japan, where he focused on electron heating and plasma confinement by using high-power gyrotrons. In 2006, he joined the Research Center for Development of Far-Infrared Region, University of Fukui, Fukui, Japan. He is currently involved in the development and application of sub-terahertz gyrotrons.
