I'm a lecturer (equivalent to tenure-track Assistant Professor) in Machine Learning and Data Science at the University of Sydney, Australia.
I'm taking leave to spend time at Uber AI, working on probabilistic modelling, approximate inference, continual learning, model-based reinforcement learning, and bandits.

I completed my doctoral training at the Cambridge Machine Learning group, supervised by Richard Turner and advised by Carl Rasmussen. I worked on Gaussian process models and generic approximation methods.
