Toshiyuki Ishiwata

Toshiyuki Ishiwata graduated from the Kawasaki Medical School in 1986 and started his career in pathology in the Nippon Medical School. He continued his scientific career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of California in Irvine, under the guidance of Prof. Murray Korc. His research is focused on pancreatic cancer and the factors which contribute to invasion and metastasis. His research covers human cancer tissues, cultured cancer cells and animal models of the cancer.
