Career Trajectory
Bio
My research focuses on bridging separate worlds of knowledge to contribute to public health. Identifying myself as a generalist rather than a specialist, I adopt a polymathic perspective to address human health complexity. I favor diversification of skills and transdisciplinarity over specialization. My experiences and interests cover: causal inference methodology (matching and weighting methods, propensity score techniques and prognostic analogues, instrumental variables, g-methods, targeted-maximum-likelihood-estimation methods); prediction modelling methodology for clinical decision making using traditional regression models or AI machine learning; various other statistical topics (e.g. missing data, synthetic data, Monte Carlo simulation); data visualization, sonification and sensification; aesthetics of knowledge; scientific communication and democratization via culture and the arts; exhibition curation; community building.
