Her research interests, documented by more than 200 refereed publications and approximately 7500 citations (h> 45), several book chapters and numerous invited lectures as well as third-party funds, are in the field of nanophotonics, ultrafast spectroscopy, solid-state optics, innovative materials and laser physics. Ulrike Woggon was honored in 2010 as a "Fellow of the Optical Society (OSA)" for her seminal contributions to ultrafast spectroscopy and nano-optics of nanocrystals and quantum dots, and the demonstration of quantum optical principles with semiconductor nanostructures.
