Usman Masud received the Graduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology Taxila and the dual master’s degree in electrical engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology, Rawalpindi, and University of Kassel, Kassel. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree (by research work) with the University of Kassel. He has supervised and completed multiple funded projects at the national and international levels and finds deep interest in laser-based biomedical applications. His research interests include optoelectronic systems, image processing, biomedical sensors, machine learning, spectroscopic applications, AI, computer vision, neural networks, and wireless networks. He has been an active member of numerous professional networks like Verband der Elektrotechnik, Elektronik und Informationstechnik e.V. (VDE) for several years.
