Vitor Grade Tavares

Vítor M. Grade Tavares (Member, IEEE) received the Licenciatura and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Aveiro, Aveiro, Portugal, in 1991 and 1994, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Computational Neuro Engineering Laboratory, University of Florida, Gainesville, FL, USA, in 2001. In 1999, he joined the University of Porto, Porto, Portugal, as an Invited Assistant, where he has been an Assistant Professor since 2002. In 2010, he was a Visiting Professor with Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, USA. He is also a Senior Researcher with the Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores, Tecnologia e Ciência, Porto. His current research interests include low-power, mixed-signal and neuromorphic integrated-chip design and biomimetic computing, CMOS RF integrated circuit design for wireless sensor networks, and transparent electronics.
