Associate Professor Kayser’s research focuses on the development of novel vaccines and biologics.
Specific areas of interest include:
Development of vaccines (e.g., influenza, rabies, SARS etc.)
Innovative vaccine development
Stabilization and formulation of vaccines
Traditional vaccine methods
Protein-based vaccines
Nanoparticle-based vaccines
Conjugate vaccines
Development of biologics:
Therapeutic monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and antibody-based products
Biosimilars and next-generation biologics (biobetters)
Bispecific mAbs
Antibody-Drug-Conjugates (ADCs)
Formulation of biologics
Nanoparticle-mAb conjugates
Stabilization and formulation of biotherapeutics
Protein folding and aggregation
Molecular engineering of biopharmaceutical products
Development of rapid screening and predictive methods for vaccines and biologics
Characterisation of vaccines and biologics via biophysical methods (time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy, external dye-binding,light-scattering, MS, TEM etc.)
