Wanchen Yang (Senior Member, IEEE) was born in Xuzhou, Jiangsu, China, in 1988. She received the B.Eng. degree in communication engineering from Hohai University (HHU), Nanjing, China, in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree in electromagnetic field and microwave technology from Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NUST), Nanjing, in 2015.
From November 2013 to April 2014, she was a Research Assistant with the University of Macau, Macau, China. From May 2017 to November 2017, she is a Post-Doctoral Fellow with the City University of Hong Kong, Kowloon, Hong Kong. From October 2015 to December 2018, she was an Assistant Professor with NUST. From January 2019 to June 2022, she was an Associate Professor with South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, China. In July 2022, she joined HHU, where she is currently a Professor. She has authored or coauthored over 100 internationally refereed journal articles and conference papers, including over 40 transaction papers. Her main research interests include novel artificial material-based antenna arrays, multifunctional antenna arrays, millimeter-wave antenna arrays, and MIMO antenna arrays and technologies, etc.
Dr. Yang was a recipient of the 2017 Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation of Jiangsu Province, China, and the Best Paper Prize of the 2014 Student Paper Competition in IEEE HK AP/MTT Postgraduate Conference, October 2014, and a co-recipient of the Best Paper Prize of 2015 Asia Pacific Microwave Conference, December 2015, and the Best Paper Prize of 2022 International Wireless Symposium, August 2022. She serves as an Associate Editor for the Microwave and Optical Technology Letters and IEEE Access, and a reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, the IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, IEEE Access, the IET Microwaves Antennas and Propagation, the IET Electronic Letters, and the Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications, etc.
