Wenzhi Chen(陈文智)Professor

Prof. CHEN Wenzhi is the director of Information Technology Center of Zhejiang University, he used to be the Vice Dean of college of Computer Science and Technology. He is a member of IEEE/ACM and ACM Education Council. He acts as reviewer of some academic journals and member of Program Committee of some international conferences.

The main research fields include:
i) Embedded System and its Application (including Mobile Computing, Automotive Electronics, Digital Home, etc.)
ii) Computer Architecture (including FPGA, Heterogenous Multicore, Innovative Architecture, etc.)
iii) Computer System Software (including Operation System, Distributed Computing System, Virtualization Technology, Cloud Computing Infrastructure, etc.)
iv) Information Security (including Mobile Security, malware detection, information security attack and defence, cyberspace trust architecture, etc.)

Prof. CHEN has undertaken more than 20 national technology projects, published over 100 academic papers, obtained about 20 national invention patents authorized and over 20 software copyrights. He won the 1st and 2nd Prize of Sci-Tech Progress of Zhejiang Province respectively in 2007 and 2014.

Prof. CHEN has gained a number of achievements in education since he began to teach in 1992. He is the chief lecturer of core courses for undergraduates and graduates, including Embedded System, Operating System, Advanced Computer Architecture, Software Engineering, and SoC Integrated Design, and 100% of the courses he delivers are highly regarded in the evaluation of course quality. He has undertaken a host of national and provincial projects on education reform. He has published nearly 10 textbooks, including Theory and Design of Embedded System (listed as the 11th Five-Year National Programmed Textbook) and Introduction to Computer Science – A Case Study on Robot. The course of Embedded System he chairs is listed as national excellent course resource for sharing. He is the winner of 2013 Baogang Outstanding Teacher Award. He won the 2nd Prize of National Teaching Achievment Award in 2018.
