Yakun Liu

Yakun Liu (Member, IEEE) received the bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China, in 2013, and the joint Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, and in civil and environmental engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA, in 2018. His research interests focus on high-voltage technology, lightning protection, aerosol effects on lightning, and global lightning activity.
