Research Interests
Rad18 E3 ubiquitin ligase is the main enzyme for Trans-Lesion Synthesis (TLS) pathway, and is known to respond to several forms of DNA damage including replication stalling, DNA single stranded breaks, DNA double stranded breaks. However, the precise mechanisms by which Rad18 promotes tolerance of genotoxic/oncogenic stress and chemotherapeutic drug are still ambiguous. My research goal is to identify the mechanisms by which Rad18 is promoting tolerance of DNA damage and replication stress in vitro and in vivo.
