Bio
Yinlong Xu received his B.S. in Mathematics from Peking University, and MS and Ph.D in Computer Science from University of Science & Technology of China(USTC). He is currently a professor with the School of Computer Science & Technology at USTC. Prior to that, he served the Department of Computer Science & Technology at USTC as an assistant professor, a lecturer and an associate professor respectively. Currently, he is leading a group of research students in doing some networking and high performance computing research. His research interests include distributed storage, network coding, wireless network, combinatorial optimization, design and analysis of parallel algorithm, etc. He is a co-recipient of the Best Paper Award Winner of Qshine’2006, the Second Class National Award on Educational Achievement of China and the First Class Award on Education Achievement of Anhui Province in 2001. The Ph.D dissertation “Study on the Energy Efficient Strategies for Wireless Ad-hoc Networks”(Author: Kun Wang) supervised by him received the Excellent Ph.D Dissertation Award of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2006 and was nominated as a candidate of the National Excellent Ph.D Dissertation in 2007.
