Yoav Shechtman received the BSc degree in physics and EE and the PhD degree from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, in 2007 and 2013, resectively. He is currently an assistant professor with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. From 2013 to 2016, he was a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University. His research focuses on developing computational microscopy methods for observing life on the nano-scale. He was the recipient of the 2020 Rechler Prize, the 2020 International Union for Pure and Applied Biophysics Young Investigator Prize and medal, and the 2018 Early Career Award of the International Association for Medical and Biological Engineering.
