I am an Assistant Professor in the Mathematics (MSCS) Department of University of Illinois at Chicago. I am part of the MCS group (and part of the CS Theory crowd at UIC).

I did my PhD in the CS Theory group of the University of Southern California, advised by Shang-Hua Teng. I was a postdoc in the Theory and CS-Econ groups at Duke University.
In Fall 2019, I am participating the special-year program on Optimization, Statistics, and Theoretical Machine Learning at the Institute for Advanced Study.

Research: My main research interests lie in the area of machine learning, game theory, and optimization. Recently, my work focuses on designing scalable and provably robust learning algorithms, and addressing the challenges that arise in the interactions between machine learning systems and strategic agents.
