个人简介
My research interests include synthesis, processes, characterization, and devices of the low-dimensional, 2D materials for quantum sciences, nanoelectronic technology, and energy applications. My primary synthesizing tools include metal-organic chemical vapor deposition and physical vapor deposition. These techniques can produce large-area (or large domain), electronic-grade grown layers. To implant 2D materials for doping and alloying, I have developed a pulsed laser deposition approach that provides low-energy atoms and cluster irradiation. This post-growth approach can implant 2D crystals without damaging them and can be carried out in low temperatures. I am also interested in exploring novel properties or functionalities that these novel 2D nanoscale materials could provide using advanced characterization techniques to understand their potentials for energy, optoelectronics, and quantum information science applications.
