Yuer Yang

Yuer Yang was born in Yingde, Qingyuan, Guangdong, China in November 2000. He received his double bachelor’s degree from Jinan University in June 2023 as an excellent graduate. He majored in Cyberspace Security and minored in Finance. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree at Department of Computer Science, The University of Hong Kong. He was involved in the product testing of the Micropoint Proactive Defense Software and was responsible for maintaining the JiQuan WeChat applet. He once worked for Managed Security Service (MSS) in Qi An Xin Technology Group Inc. He has 25 awards, including the National Scholarship, National Outstanding Artistic Talents Student, Excellent Student Award of the First Training Course of Guangdong Digital Government Construction Talent Training Program (College of Political Science and Mathematical Sciences), Excellent Undergraduate Thesis, Extraordinary Undergraduate Student Award, Jinan’s 5A Elite Students Program “Star of Jinan”, Excellent Student Award twice, Excellent Student First-class Scholarship twice. He is interested in Malware Detection (AI for Malware) and cross-field interests (Algorithm Optimization, Bioinformatics, Fintech, and Halloysite). Mr. Yang has had 30 academic papers published or accepted so far, including 15 as the first or the co-first author. The total impact factor of his published journal papers exceeds 50. He helped review 26 articles in 7 journals and 7 international conferences. He owned 11 granted intellectual property rights. He has finished or is participating in 1 national, 2 provincial, and 5 university-level research projects, where 2 of the finished projects were certificated the excellent. He won 30 competition awards during his undergraduate, particularly including the first national gold medal for Jinan University in The 7th China International College Student “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, which is the top event in China.
