The focus of our research is mainly to address the issues concerning the design of novel strategies that may potentially be used not only in overcoming the problems of drug resistance but, also to develop such methodologies that could effectively and aggressively fight against resistant bacterial, fungal and viral species. In this regard, the core activity includes the process of chelation via coordination with metalloelements. While doing so, it constitutes an emerging possibility of a novel class of Metal-Based Antibacterial, Antifungal and Antiviral Compounds/drugs in this novel area of Metal-Based Drug Chemistry. In other investigations these Metal-Based compounds have also potentials as inhibitors of many carbonic anhydrase.
