My research interests lie in the area of image analysis and machine learning with applications in biomedical and clinical imaging.

I have been working in the area of medical image analysis for fifteen years, with a focus on pulmonary imaging using shape modeling, graph methods, and machine learning.

I'm an Associate Editor for the journals, Computerized Medical Imaging and Graphics (CMIG), IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging (TMI), Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics (JBHI), and Computers in Biology and Medicine (CBM). I also serve as a regular reviewer for a list of top-ranking journals (MedIA, TMI, TBME, Lancet, Nature, etc.), and program chair & committee member for various conferences (MICCAI, AAAI, WMIC, etc.) in this field.
