Anodic aluminum oxidation (AAO) template on Si wafer was formed in 0.3M oxalic acid at 40V. Barrier layers of AAO were removed by reverse bias in oxalic acid. Cuprous oxide (Cu2O) nanorods were electrodeposited with AAO templates in alkaline (pH=12) copper sulfate electrolyte on Si wafer in room temperature. Crystal structure was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and microstructure was observed by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM).
