Physiologische Eigenschaften epoxydierter Öle

Die Verfutterung epoxydierter Ole erwies sich in Futterungsversuchen als nicht harmlos. Die Toxicitat epoxydierter Sojaole nimmt mit steigender Epoxydierung zu. Noch bei einer Tagesdosis von 5 mg Epoxysauerstoff je Ratte (entspricht ca. 50 mg Diepoxystearinsaure) ergaben sich nachteilige Wirkungen (Wachstums-Verzogerung). Verfutterung von 45 mg Epoxysauerstoff je Ratte fuhrten innerhalb von 8 Tagen bei 80% der eingesetzten Tiere zum Tod. Physiological Properties of Epoxydised Oils Feeding of epoxidised oils is shown to be not harmless. The toxicity of the epoxidised soybean oils increases with the increase in epoxidation. A daily dose of 5 mg of epoxy-oxygen to each rat (which corresponds 50 mg of diepoxy-stearic acid) shows a detrimental (growth-inhibiting) effect. Afeeding with 45 mg of epoxy-oxygen to each rat led to death of 80% of the rats under application within 8 days.
