Photoresponse of MIMIM triodes

The investigation of the reversal of the photocurrent polarity with changing photon energy in MIM diodes is extended to MIMIM three-electrode structures. The spectral dependence of the photocurrent between the different pairs of electrodes of a triode is shown to be strongly controlled by the electrode thickness and the direction of illumination. Interesting results are observed when the electrode thickness is below 200 Å.
