Nickel-Cyclam Modified Polypyrrole And Polythiophene Films

Pyrrole and thiophene grafted with Ni-cyclam via a very general synthetic route, have been electropolymerized on electrodes. The films are poor electrical conductors; however the Ni (III)/Ni (II) system is well developed. This is one of the very few examples of polythiophene bearing redox sites.
