The purpose of the Committee on Behavioral Health Services within General Healthcare Systems is to understand and elevate on the NAPHS agenda those issues that impact behavioral health services within general medical settings; focus attention on issues related to the interface of psychiatry and general medicine; develop services and resources that will benefit existing members; and to develop strategies to encourage non-member units and behavioral health divisions of general medical settings to join the association.
