Lesions En Anse De Fil De Fer Des Capillaires Pulmonaires Dans Le Lupus Erythemateux Dissemine (Led)

In 4 cases of disseminated lupus erythematosus studied clinically and anatomically, wire-loop changes of the alveolar capillaries are described; they are compared with those of the glomeruli and are distinguished from capillary sclerosis due to congestion. Exudative features of these lesions are seen in the cases I, II and IV; cicatricial features in case III. The possible role of fibrin exudation in the formation of wire-loops is discussed.
