Blood pressure (BP) examinations and urine analyses for the assessment of dietary Na, K, and protein intakes were carried out according to the standardized methods for the World Health Organization Cardiovascular Diseases and alimentary Comparison Study in aged people with or without a longlasting nutritional intervention. Nutritional intervention to reduce salt intake and increase K and protein intakes was effective for BP reduction even in aged people over 65 years.
