Isospin-symmetry-breaking corrections to superallowed Fermi β decay: Formalism and schematic models

We study the formalism to include isospin-symmetry-breaking corrections when extracting the up-down Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element from superallowed 0(+) -> 0(+) nuclear beta decay.
