Cisto epidermóide intra-ósseo: relato de caso * Intraosseous epidermoid cyst: case report

Purpose: This report aims to present the case of a rare, benign lesion, the intraosseous epidermoid cyst. Methods: This present study describes a case of intraosseous epidermoid cyst within the ring finger distal phalanx; the suspicion in a 48-year-old patient, who presented with a pathological fracture of the distal phalanx from the left ring finger, was raised by clinical and radiological aspects, and was confirmed by pathology. The intraosseous epidermoid cyst is a rare clinical entity, usually associated to a previous trauma, and should be considered in the differential diagnosis of radiolucent lesions found at the distal phalanx from hand fingers.
