Inhabited Information Spaces: An Introduction

As noted above, the chapters in this volume cover a broad range of technical and social issues. All are focused on creating useful and “habitable” environments for information representations, seeking, searching and manipulation. There are many challenges to be faced at technical and at social levels, and far more research needs to be done on the long-term use of Inhabited Information Spaces, and how they co-evolve as a result of being regularly inhabited.
