Functional constipation in children: Rome II versus Rome III criteria
Digestive and Liver Disease(2006)
摘要
Aims. In 1999, ‘Rome II criteria’ provided a method for standardizing the definition of chronic constipation, however in the last years this resulted too restictive and difficult to apply in clinical practice. In 2005 new and more complete criteria for disorders of defecation were published: the ‘PACCT criteria’. These criteria have been accepted and recently published by the ‘Rome III’ Committee for childhood functional constipation. Since our aim was to compare the validity and applicability of PAACT criteria versus Rome II criteria, we can assume that all our results can be applied to Rome III criteria, too.
