8065 Endometrial clear cell adenocarcinoma – a retrospective analysis

Przedstawiono przebieg bakteryjnego zapalenia opon mózgowo-rdzeniowych i mózgu spowodowanego przez Streptococcus pneumoniae u dziesięciorga dzieci hospitalizowanych w Samodzielnym Zespole Opieki Zdrowotnej nad Matką i Dzieckiem w Poznaniu, na Oddziale Obserwacyjno-Zakaźnym w latach 2002–2004. Przeanalizowano wywiad chorobowy, objawy kliniczne, przebieg choroby, odchylenia w badaniach dodatkowych. Zwrócono uwagę na istniejące czynniki predysponujące, powszechnie występujące choroby poprzedzające inwazyjne zakażenie pneumokokowe. Opisano powikłania choroby. Przedstawiono współczesne metody leczenia. Podkreślono również możliwość stosowania profilaktyki w postaci dostępnych już w Polsce szczepień ochronnych przeznaczonych dla dzieci <2 roku życia (szczepionki skoniugowane) oraz dla dzieci starszych (szczepionki polisacharydowe).The clinical course of bacterial meningitis caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae in ten children, admitted to the Department of Infectious Diseases, Regional Hospital Centre for Mother and Child in Poznań in the period from 2002 to 2004, are presented. We analyzed the medical history, clinical signs and course of disease, laboratory and other investigations. It was found that some children had predisposing factors and very frequent, pre-existing diseases which probably were the focus of Streptococcus pneumoniae invasive infection. We describe the long-term sequelae of the disease, current standards of treatment, and possibility of prophylaxis by two types of vaccines: for young children <2 years old (conjugate vaccines) and older children (polysacharide vaccines).
