Linear Dichroism, An Adjunct To Polarized Crystal Spectroscopy

The linear dichroism of 2Cren 3 Cl 3 KCl6H 2 O has been measured in the spin forbidden region at room temperature and shows that this technique is a highly sensitive measure of polarisation of the individual lines. Potential uses of this method are enumerated.
